Progressive activist Greta Thunberg resigned from her position on the initiative's board Global Sumud Flotilla, which seeks to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

According to Italian newspaper Il Manifesto, the 22-year-old activist left the leadership over internal disagreements, especially over the mission's communication. According to the newspaper, Thunberg believes that the focus has been more on the internal issues of the flotilla and not enough on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

"We all have a role: mine will not be on the steering committee, but as an organizer and participant," the activist assured.

According to reports, Thunberg left the ship Family, where she was traveling alongside board members, and joined the Alma, along with other activists. Although she is no longer part of the steering committee, she is still on board as an organizer and active participant.

The reasons are unclear

Tony La Piccirella, one of the activists who is on the flotilla attacked the Il Manifesto article for the article on Thunberg.

In statements picked up by newspaper Adnkronos, the activist said that Thunberg no longer wants to be part of the steering committee and that “only she knows why.”

"There is a steering committee that makes technical and strategic decisions, Greta does not want to be part of it and she knows why. Anyway, she is on the Alma, which is one of the two main ships, and she continues to support the mission," he said.

The activist denies that Thunberg "left the mission because there wasn't enough talk about Palestine."

The flotilla, consisting of some 40 ships, left Barcelona on Aug. 31 and is currently sailing in international waters off Italy, bound for Gaza.

Survey reveals 60% of Generation Z in the U.S. supports Hamas

recent survey conducted online by Harvard University and the Harris Research Foundation from Aug. 20-21 revealed that 60% of Generation Z in the U.S. favors the terrorist group Hamas over Israel. Of the age groups surveyed, the 18-24 age group was the only one to choose Hamas.

Support for Israel declined as respondents got younger, from 89% support for the Jewish state among those 65 and older to 70% support among 35-44 year olds.
