Sam Brinton again accused of stealing luggage
The star Biden administration official had already been caught stealing a suitcase from a woman in Minneapolis.
Sam Brinton has done it again. The Biden administration energy official who was recently indicted for taking a woman's suitcase at the Minneapolis airport was sued for another baggage theft at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
Following what happened, a felony warrant for grand theft was issued for his arrest, as reported by 8 News Now last Thursday. Details are scarce about the new theft allegedly carried out by the former undersecretary of the Department of Energy's Office of Expended Fuel and Waste Disposal. However, as detailed by the New York Post, the contents of the suitcase were worth between $1,200 and $5,000, qualifying it a grand theft.
This is not the only accusation facing the 35-year-old civil servant. Last week, Brinton received another indictment for allegedly stealing a Vera Bradley brand suitcase from a woman in Minneapolis - St. Paul Paul Airport on Sept. 16. On that occasion, the contents of the luggage were valued at $2,325, meaning it is also categorized as a felony theft offense.
