The Trump Earthquake: the 30 days that revolutionized the world
The new Administration has implemented the "America First" agenda in record time at home and abroad through a maelstrom of executive orders from the president and a 180-degree turn in international policy.

Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
The world is a totally different place than it was just 30 days ago. The return of Donald Trump has triggered an earthquake that has shaken the foundations not only of the US, but of the entire world, swept by the whirlwind of executive orders signed by the president since minute zero of his new term. The economy, the cultural battle, education, international relations and even sports, all orders of life have been affected by the dictates of the Republican's pen.
The barrage of executive orders has managed to surprise all and sundry, as few believed that the president could maintain the pace with which he pledged to kick off the legislature beyond the first few days. However, the Republican has not wanted to repeat his more leisurely start in his previous legislature and has maintained the sprint during each and every one of the days he has been in the Oval Office.
Something that has led left-leaning analysts to lament that Trump did not merely make good on his quip that he would become"dictator on Day 1," but has continued to sprint through the rest of them since his swearing-in.
Trump has signed 72 orders since Jan. 20
As of Feb. 20, the federal register has published 66 executive orders with the presidential rubric. This agency already warns that there is always a small delay between the signing of a rule and its official publication, which is usually several days. With those he has signed in recent days, Trump has reached 72, the same number as all those signed by Biden between 2022 and 2024 and almost the same as those signed by the Democrat during the whole of 2021 (77).
But Trump's influence is not measured only by the number of laws signed. His announcements, his declarations, have also caused the whole world to be watching his words, placing, once again, USA as the main actor on the international chessboard and the power that forces the rest of the countries, allies or enemies, to dance to the rhythm sent from Washington.
The priority, what happens inside the US borders
With all the weapons at his disposal, Trump is fulfilling his two great slogans: "America First" and "Make America Great Again." To that end, his steps on the international and domestic stage are aimed at a return to American values and the annihilation of Wokism in the cultural battle while defending the interests of Americans.
His priority of closing the borders and mass deportations, starting with illegals with criminal records were implemented from the first moment, as well as the fight against cartels. Early statistics on the number of encounters and arrests of dangerous South American criminal gang members validate the success of these initiatives. One of the most controversial decisions in this area was the elimination of birthright citizenship, aimed at removing one of the key incentives for illegal immigration—a measure currently being challenged in the courts.
Tariffs and the end of Biden's green agenda
His economic bet goes through the return and empowerment of fossil fuels, ending the green dictatorship imposed by Biden during his mandate. Tariffs, used as part of the art of negotiation with third countries, also allow him to boost domestic products.

End of the woke tyranny
To end the woke tyranny, Trump has signed several executive orders ranging from banning trans treatments for minors to defending women's sports by preventing the participation of biological men in women's categories, through the end of trans policies in the Armed Forces. His war on Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies has been seconded by social and economic agents across the country.
He has also kept his word to pardon pro-life activists arrested for praying in front of abortion clinics and has signed an executive order to protect Christians from persecution, such as they suffered under the Biden Administration.
Reducing the cost of government and ending the instrumentalization of the administration
If anything, however, is earning him headlines, it is the DOGE, with Elon Musk at the helm. The relentless detection of fraud and abuses by the South African tycoon and his team, with the consequent cuts of billions in agencies are causing real earthquakes, such as the elimination of USAID. The freezing of agency disbursements is in the hands of Justice, as well as many of the measures implemented.
Within government reform, Trump did not forget the fight against the instrumentalization of the Justice Department and Security agencies as a political weapon against political adversaries. One of the first measures was firing the prosecutors who led the investigations of the Jack Smith indictment against him. Trump subsequently announced the departure of all prosecutors who worked for Biden "to clean house."
The courts, the final frontier
However, much of the success of Trump's frenetic legislative work is in the hands of Justice. Most of his measures have been appealed by Democratic attorneys general, led by Letitia James or organizations affected. A judicial battle that, in many cases will reach the Supreme Court.
The "new sheriff" turned the international order upside down
On the eve of the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Trump has made a 180-degree turn to the position followed by Biden and has made it clear that he wants to close the conflict quickly by negotiating with Russia, ignoring Zelenski and European leaders.
A position reinforced by the warning to NATO partners that they must increase their defense spending and be able to defend themselves, without waiting for the US to come to their rescue or fight their wars. Something that Trump himself, Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Rubio have made clear in the face of the allies.
The unconditional support for Israel and the announcement of a Gaza solution with U.S. involvement also differs markedly from Biden's ambiguous Middle East policy.
But, above all, Trump has made it clear that the previous Administration's soft-handed and hesitant policy of appeasement on many occasions is over. His "peace through force" has been made clear in all the pulses he has had with the leaders of other countries such as Mexico, Canada or Colombia, who have ended up jumping through the Republican's hoops.
The defense of U.S. interests are also reflected in international geography. Trump warned of several strategic points that he considers key, and on which he intends to assert national needs. This is the case of the now so-called Gulf of America, the Panama Canal and Greenland.
