Bizarrap, the new face rising to the top of the Hispanic music world
TIME magazine published its Next Generation Leaders ranking, in which the young Argentinian music producer stands out thanks to his "BZRP Music Sessions" hits.
Bizarrap is on his way to becoming a household name. Born Gonzalo Julián Conde, the 24-year-old phenom has reached a worldwide audience of millions. His famous "BZRP Music Sessions" have brought him to the top of the music scene. Everything points to the fact that this young artist will be a staple in music for a long time to come.
Bizarrap, born in Ramos Mejía, Argentina, was one of 10 people named to Time magazine's Next Generation Leaders ranking. The list also includes British actress Florence Pugh, South Korean K-pop group NewJeans, American TikToker Drew Afualo and British golfer Matt Fitzpatrick. These 10 personalities destined to be the trendsetters of the coming years.
"I make music every day. I like thinking about ideas for my videos, making teasers. I’m always thinking about the next step," Bizarrap told Time. "What’s important to me is that the music speaks for itself."
Bizarrap, with half his face always covered with a cap and sunglasses, has hit stratospheric streaming and social media numbers. For example, the videos on his YouTube channel have more than 7.2 billion views. He also has close to 20 million subscribers. On Spotify, he's on a roll: around 40 million people listen to his music each month. And on Instagram, he already has more than 19 million followers.
Numerous world-renowned Hispanic artists such as Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, Arcángel, Paulo Londra and Quevedo have collaborated with him in the "BZRP Music Sessions." He also collaborated with Shakira, with whom he made a record-breaking hit. It was the most played Hispanic song in a 24-hour span, the fastest to reach 100 million views; the most played Hispanic song on Spotify in a 24-hour span and the most played Hispanic song in a weeklong span.
