Kansas shooting leaves four officers wounded, one suspect dead

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) opened an investigation after several officers were shot and injured during a domestic violence occurring Saturday morning in Osage County.
Authorities said county officers and state troopers remained at the home for several minutes before the shooting occurred. As a result of the exchange of gunfire, three Osage County sheriff's deputies and a member of the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) suffered injuries.
The suspect died at the scene and a second man was injured
According to information provided by authorities, the suspect—a man whose identity has not yet been released - died inside the home. A second man was also injured, although he is in stable condition.
During a press conference, Col. Erik Smith explained that the four wounded officers were initially transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Later, the Highway Patrol officer was taken to a hospital in Kansas City for additional care.
Authorities rule out active threat
Both the Tampa Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol directed Fox News Digital inquiries to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, which has not yet responded to additional requests.
