ICE arrests an illegal immigrant armed with a knife outside its Houston office
The detainee had entered the country illegally at least five times and, despite a prior encounter with the Immigration Service, was released under the Biden administration.

ICE agents during an operation
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Jose Andres Rodriguez-Torres, an undocumented felon from Mexico, on Thursday after he approached the restricted employee parking lot at the ICE field office in Houston with a knife and a crack pipe.
According to the official statement from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), when approached by ICE agents, Rodriguez Torres voluntarily told them he was from Mexico, tensed up and dropped to the ground.
While he was on the ground, agents observed a sheathed knife hanging from his waistband and detained him. During a subsequent search, they also found in his pocket a glass pipe commonly used for smoking crack cocaine.
"A criminal illegal immigrant, released by the Biden Administration and previously deported four times, armed with a knife in a restricted parking lot outside an ICE office in Houston," stated Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
McLaughlin added that "these types of threats and risks face our officers on a daily basis as they work to deport the most disadvantaged. Just yesterday, there was a knife incident in front of the Houston facility, and in two separate incidents, undocumented criminals used cars as weapons against our officers."
