The Department of Justice (DOJ)declassified and released records related to Jeffrey Epstein. This was one of Donald Trump's campaign promises and the DOJ clarified that the first phase of files released contains mostly "documents that had previously been leaked but never officially made public by the U.S. Government." Both Pam Bondi as Kash Patel celebrated the release. .
"This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators," the attorney general said in this regard, who clarified that the release will be in stages.
"The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability," he added.
For his part, Patel assured that the FBI is entering a new phase, one that "will be defined by integrity, accountability and the unwavering pursuit of justice."
The DOJ clarified that Epstein was convicted for the "sexual exploitation of more than 250 underage girls at his homes in New York and Florida, among other places."
