After the latest Alaska Airlines accident involving a Boeing 737 Max 9, Voz Media journalist Karina Mariani interviewed commercial aviation expert Franco Rinaldi.

Together, they analyze a problem that Elon Musk says is causing turbulence for the largest commercial aviation manufacturer in the world. Boeing, according to documents provided by Musk, had been promoting Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) in its manufacturing processes for several years instead of focusing on the safety of its products.

According to expert Franco Rinaldi, for these reasons, among others, the Boeing 737 Max 9 has had the most fatal accidents of any commercial aircraft in its first months of use. With this situation for Boeing, competition is becoming strong and the European company Airbus intends to gain more market share thanks to its A320 NEO model, which in addition to a lower production cost, also has a lower operation and maintenance cost for airlines.

However, for Rinaldi, the worst thing that could happen to Boeing is already happening: "Customers go to the window and say, am I on the Boeing 737 Max 9? No, I'm not traveling. Change my flight."
