Elon Musk calls for immediate firing of Disney CEO for advertising "next to child exploitation material"
The mogul questioned Bob Iger for not pulling Meta ads despite a lawsuit suggesting that Facebook and Instagram allow the distribution of underage sexual content.
Elon Musk, owner of X, launched a series of criticisms against Disney CEO Bob Iger and demanded his ouster after a CNBC report exposed that the entertainment company continues to advertise on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram), despite an investigation suggesting that such social media platforms are facilitating access to child sexual predator content.
Recently, Disney decided to pull its X ads after allegations surfaced against Musk for allegedly allowing the promotion of anti-Semitic content on its platform. Now, the billionaire mogul is questioning Iger for not doing the same with Facebook and Instagram despite a New Mexico lawsuit surfacing against Meta for allegedly allowing the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
"Bob Iger thinks it's cool to advertise next to child exploitation material. Real stand up guy," Musk wrote in his posts.
Later, an X user interacted with Musk's posts and asked why Bob Iger hadn't been fired, to which the mogul responded, "He should be fired immediately."
"Walt Disney is turning in his grave over what Bob has done to his company," Musk added.
The mogul also questioned why there hasn't been an advertiser boycott and singled out marketing managers, asking them why they endorse child trafficking.
The clash between Musk and advertisers has been a hot topic since the mogul's allegedly anti-Semitic posts. The X owner has accused the companies that removed their ads from the platform of trying to blackmail him with money.
"If someone is going to try to blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go f*** yourself. Don't advertise," he said while participating in the DealBook Summit in New York.
