Seven tornadoes hit north and south Florida

They caused extensive material damage. The National Weather Service warned that the storm will continue throughout the weekend across the state.

A tornado caused extensive damage to several homes and buildings in Boynton Beach, Florida, about 58 miles from downtown Miami on Friday night. As confirmed by the National Weather Service (NWS), the tornado affected the area around Southwest 23rd Avenue and Interstate 95.

Several neighbors showed the damage left behind. There are several fallen trees and electrical poles. The tornado also damaged roofs and blew out windows. The Boynton Beach Administration was on hand to assist residents and asked them to exercise caution this weekend as severe storm warnings continue.

On Friday afternoon, six other tornadoes were reported in Florida in Bay, Calhoun, Liberty, Wakulla, Gadsden and Madison counties, in addition to strong gusts of wind and hail in Brevard County.

The National Weather Service reported that severe thunderstorm warnings for South Florida will continue throughout this weekend. This Saturday, the NWS urged people living near Lake Okeechobee and inland Palm Beach County to exercise extreme caution.
