Report reveals Tucker Carlson is raising funds for his new media venture

The political commentator could take a lot of the staff that worked with him at Fox News to his new project.

While political commentator Tucker Carlson has been doing very well with his monologues on Twitter, reports indicate that the broadcaster has a much bigger plan for the future.

As reported by Puck News, Carlson is raising funds to start his own media company and could take with him a large portion of the staff he worked with at Fox News.

“It’s increasingly possible that the Twitter show is a top-of-funnel play for other things Tucker may soon have cooking. In fact, I am told he is raising capital to launch a new company that may yet prove more influential,” reported journalist Dylan Byers.

The report argues that Tucker could give television personalities with large followings but isolated in the midst of shrinking audiences a chance to have a space.

This is not something new for Carlson. In fact, after leaving CNN, the commentator founded the conservative news group The Daily Caller. After several years, he decided to relinquish editorial responsibility to devote himself entirely to his nightly show on Fox.

However, now that he is no longer part of the news program’s prime time slot, Carlson may be trying to gamble on something bigger that will allow him to continue bringing his political views to the small screen.

Dissatisfaction with current media

Carlson has made it clear that he is dissatisfied with the existing media. Shortly before premiering his show on Twitter, the journalist expressed that there are not many platforms that really allow freedom of expression and clarified that it was precisely for that reason that he chose Elon Musk’s social network to make a new version of his program.

In the first episode of his program, he also expressed that the media is choosing to ignore many important issues, such as the mysteries surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, the millions of dollars sent to Ukraine, the funding of the Black Lives Matter movement and what happened on 9/11.

“Not only are the media not interested in any of this, they are actively hostile to anybody who is. In journalism, curiosity is the gravest crime,” he said.
