AFP noted that the operation raises the death toll in Washington’s counter-narcotics campaign at sea to at least 57.
"A total of 14 narco-terrorists were killed (...) with one survivor. All strikes were in international waters with no U.S. forces harmed," Hegseth said in a post on X about the strikes conducted the previous day.

The four vessels were “known by our intelligence apparatus, transiting along known narco-trafficking routes, and carrying narcotics," Hegseth added.
The Pentagon chief’s release included a video of the attacks: the first targeted two boats that appeared moored together, while the other two struck vessels sailing at full speed in open waters.
