A coffee shop in Oakland, California, known as Jerusalem Coffee House, sparked outrage after launching a special menu with the motif of openly celebrating the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks on Israel.

A post on its Instagram account, @JerusalemCoffeeHouse, read:

Happy to share with our community that on 10/7/2024 we will be open from 3PM - 10PM. At Sunset we will be praying Salatul Maghreb followed by Salatul Janazah for the martyrs of Gaza, Lebanon, and all our Muslim brothers and sisters that have been martyred.

Journalist Andy Ngo posted on X, formerly Twitter, his research with Katie Daviscourt which was published In the PostMillennial. In the text, it described how the coffee shop, run by Abdulrahim Harara, a known pro-Hamas extremist, included products and drinks on its menu that glorify the attackers, the Hamas terrorist group and its murderous leader. There is an iced tea called "Iced In Tea Fada,” making reference to the 'intifada' attacks, and a juice called "Sweetwar Sin,” in allusion to Yahya Sinwar, who became the leader of the terrorists after the death of former leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Tribute to Hamas terrorists

The coffee shop organized an event to commemorate what the establishment described as a "Palestinian victory" following the attacks that left 1,200 citizens dead and resulted in the capture of another 200 hostages. The atrocity was condemned by much of the international community. However, at the coffee shop, attendees applauded and celebrated the violence and massacre with this controversial menu that pays tribute to Hamas terrorists.

To decorate, the coffee shop used inverted red triangles, a symbol associated with the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military forces.

This is not the first time they have paid tribute to terrorists

This heinous act of honoring terrorists is nothing new for the coffee shop. On October 3, Jerusalem Coffee House posted on Instagram a call for a prayer session for Hamas and Hezbollah "martyrs," accompanied by an Islamic prayer.

Abdulrahim Harara, whose family origins can be traced back to Gaza, has used his platform to openly support terrorist groups that have attacked the United States. His social media posts include collaborations with Antifa and calls to action that ignore the history of Palestinian support for Nazism. The coffee shop’s website describes itself as rooted in a revolution for social justice, promoting self-determination and the struggle for freedom.

The cafe has hosted several radical events, including a "Song Revolution" which sought to highlight resistance against "oppression," and a talk on the "Zionism and Fascist Movement" which explored the history of "fascist movements and the anti-fascist struggle." Throughout these events, Harara has made multiple video appearances, promoting his radical agenda and calling on the community to support his business as an act of resistance.
