Three people have been arrested for the murder of a couple about to welcome their first child. Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra, two young Hispanics from Texas, were shot in a parking lot in San Antonio. Soto was pregnant and her doctors had scheduled her delivery for the day after her murder.

The triple homicide took place on the night of December 21 to 22. According to the investigation, they occurred in two different locations, but Guerra's body was transported to another location. After the couple's family reported their disappearance, the authorities found their bodies, both with gunshot wounds.

At the beginning of January, Texas authorities announced that two men had been arrested and indicted. They are Christopher Preciado, 19, and his father Ramón Preciado, 53. The son was charged with capital murder and the father with abuse of a corpse after helping his son move the bodies.

This Wednesday, police also arrested Myrta Romanos, who is the wife of Ramón Preciado and stepmother of Christopher Preciado. She was charged with mistreatment of a corpse, including the alteration, destruction, concealment of a human corpse and tampering with evidence. It is understood that she tried to cover up the crime. According to various media outlets, Romanos appears to be the owner of the weapon that was used in the crime.

Christopher Preciado is currently the sole mastermind behind the murders. The young man alleged that Matthew Guerra came to his home to sell him marijuana and pointed a gun at him. When Preciado attempted to deflect the firearm, a first stray shot hit Savanah Soto and a second killed Matthew Guerra.
