Bryan Freedman will represent Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon, according to HuffPost. The two American television journalists, who were fired Monday by Fox News and CNN respectively, have chosen Freedman to represent them. The lawyer is well known in Hollywood for handling the legal problems of several public figures. Vin Diesel, Julia Roberts, Robert Downey Junior, Quentin Tarantino and Mariah Carey are some of his most famous clients, among others who are listed on his website.

These types of cases are nothing new to Freedman. The attorney, who has an office in Los Angeles, California, has secured some of the most profitable deals for other television stars. These include Megyn Kelly's departure from NBC News in 2019 and Chris Harrison's departure from The Bachelor in 2021. In this case, Forbes reported that Freedman won a settlement of more than $10 million. Kelly obtained a settlement of $30 million thanks to the lawyer.

That same year he also represented the family of the late pop star Michael Jackson and succeeded in helping the artist's heirs win their lawsuit against HBO for his documentary Leaving Neverland. In it, Forbes recalled that Jackson was accused of sexually abusing young children. Freedman was able to disprove the allegations and prove that the streaming platform had violated a "non-disparagement" clause it had signed in 1992 while producing a feature film about the artist's Dangerous tour. As a result, Jackson's heirs received $100 million.

Freedman's website calls him "the go-to lawyer for crisis litigation." In fact, his work is so well known that The Hollywood Reporter has included him in every edition of its annual Power Lawyers list since 2008. Variety recognized his work five times in their annual Legal Impact Report.

Freedman's career began in Berkeley, California. Subsequently, he decided to specialize in entertainment law at McGeorge School of Law and passed the California Bar Exam in 1991. Six years later, in 1997, he founded his law firm Freedman and Taitelman, LLP with his college friend, Michael Taitelman.
