The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) detailed in a new directive published Tuesday that it will suspend the participation of each of its officials in events and research that are organized by think tanks, also known as think tanks. Thus, the Pentagon detailed that from now on it will evaluate all events to which the country's national security officials are invited to determine that they are in line with the department's values.

"TIn order to ensure the Department of Defense is not lending its name and credibility to organizations, forums and events that run counter to the values of this administration, the Department’s Office of Public Affairs will be conducting a thorough vetting of every event where Defense officials are invited to participate," Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement.

"America Last organizations."

On this fact, Pentagon spokesman Kingsley Wilson explained Thursday on his social networks that "going forward, no DOD official will attend events by America Last organizations", which, according to him, promote not only "globalism" but also "hate" toward the president Donald Trump. Wilson has for the past few years expressed his opposition to the U.S. government or any of its agencies adopting "globalist" agendas, considering them harmful to the country's interests.

According to the new directive, the order will apply only and exclusively to senior leaders, military officers and civilian officials. In several internal e-mails sent to Pentagon personnel, to which several media outlets had access, the department detailed that, before taking the stage at certain events, such officials must present in advance the key points of their speeches in order to know the content of these.

The department withdrew its officials from the Aspen Security Forum.

The Pentagon's new order was issued nearly two weeks after the department decided to withdraw several of its top officials from the Aspen Security Forum after asserting that the national security event promoted "the evil of globalism, disdain for our great country and hatred for the President of the United States."

Similarly, the Pentagon banned each of its officials from participating in the Halifax International Forum, which is an annual event of diplomatic and military officials. Several media outlets such as Politicoor The Hill revealed that the department was evaluating whether they should continue to be part of other security summits.
