Unrestricted support: US says it does not impose “red lines” on Israeli army as Gaza offensive intensifies
"We continue to support their security needs. That will continue," said National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.
The United States has given its full support to Israel as the Israeli military intensifies its ground crusade in Gaza.
John Kirby, spokesman for the National Security Council, told the media this Friday that the United States is not imposing limits on the Israeli counteroffensive.
"We're not drawing red lines for Israel. We continue to support their security needs. That will continue," Kirby said.
"Since the very beginning, we have, and will continue to have, conversations about the manner that they're doing this. And we have not been shy about expressing our concerns over civilian casualties, collateral damage, and the approach that they might choose to take. That's what friends can do," the spokesperson added.
The comments come after Israel launched its second incursion into Gaza, three weeks after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israeli lands where more than 1,400 civilians were killed.
During the attacks, in addition to those killed and wounded, Hamas terrorists also took 200 kidnapped people to Gaza.
