Donald Trump continues to extend his lead in the Republican primary polls. The former president accumulates voting support less than a month before the debate for which he has qualified but has yet to confirm his presence. The reality is different for Ron DeSantis, who currently holds the second position in the polls but with a negative trend. Since his peak of 30% in January, when he was not yet a candidate, he has lost almost 50% of his voting support and his rival will not let it go without mention.

The former president mocked the Florida governor in two new videos released Thursday, July 27, each attacking a specific point of his rival. In a joking tone, Trump accused DeSantis of having changed the pronunciation of his last name to appeal to voters.

According to Trump, the governor has two versions of saying so: Dee-Santis and Deh-Santis. " Desanctimonious polls plummet because of his stance on destroying social security and medicare. Nothing I do will change their 'no' votes," said the former president, staring into the camera in a blue suit and red tie.

"Attracting small crowds that leave very early, that's never a good sign. Change the name in the middle of the campaign to De-Sanctus. I'll tell you, it just doesn't work. Never change your name in the middle of the campaign," he added.

The second video focused on further attacking the Florida governor and linking him to China and the globalist agenda. "His record on agriculture is terrible because he is totally owned by globalist donors who would like nothing better than to outsource all U.S. farm jobs to a foreign nation and he is totally in the pocket of China", he fired after remarking that his rival would not do the people of Iowa, the first state on the Republican primary calendar, any good.

In addition, Trump claimed DeSantis opposed his tariffs on China and would annihilate Iowa agriculture since he despises ethanol.

Finally, he highlighted his administration's accomplishments for Iowa, such as more gas stations and "incredible business deals" for farmers.
