Two months after Elon Musk became the star of the biography written by writer Walter Isaacson, that book will be turned into a movie. Variety magazine revealed this Friday that it had information that the production company A24 plans to make a movie about the CEO of Tesla and Starlink.
The movie will be based on the biography "Elon Musk." That was where Isaacson revealed that the businessman had become a father again. One source revealed to NBC that the manuscript had many offers: "The deal was highly competitive with top studios and filmmakers in contention."
Finally, the production company A24 acquired the rights to this film adaptation. It has also chosen the director who will be behind the camera for this project: Darren Aronofsky. The filmmaker has a long career and directed hits such as "The Whale" (2022) or "Black Swan" (2010).
In addition, his works also include "Requiem for a Dream" (2000) and "Mother!" (2017). He is known for his surreal style of cinema. Aranofsky's direction in "Black Swan" earned him a nomination for Best Director at the Oscars that year while Natalie Portman ended up winning the award for Best Actress.
It is not the first time that Isaacson's biographies make the leap to the big screen. "Steve Jobs," another manuscript he wrote in 2011 about the founder of Apple, was also turned into a movie titled "Steve Jobs.” The rights to the movie were obtained on that occasion by Universal Pictures. The movie, which was directed by Danny Boyle, starred Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet and was released in 2015.
