Fugitive mother from Colorado accused of killing two of her children captured in the United Kingdom

Kimberlee Singler, 35, was in an ongoing legal battle for custody of the minors.

British authorities reported on Monday that Kimberlee Singler, the 35-year-old woman accused of having murdered two of her children, ages 9 and 7, and trying to kill a third in Colorado, has been arrested in London (United Kingdom).

Authorities indicated that Kimberlee Singler was arrested in the United Kingdom on December 30 for being accused of these crimes. Singler was wanted by the Colorado police in relation to the events of December 19, when the Colorado Springs Police responded to a report of a robbery in a house and found a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl dead, and the woman and her 11-year-old daughter injured.

Initially, Singler was considered a robbery victim and cooperated with authorities. But she became a suspect when investigators found the complaint to be false. Singler and her ex-husband, Kevin Wentz, are battling in court over custody of the children, and according to the British newspaper The Guardian, the woman was in danger of losing custody of the minors.

The woman appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court in the British capital on Monday.
