With four games remaining this season, Liverpool FC was crowned Premier League champions after cruising to a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield. Manchester City had won the previous four editions.

With this triumph, their first since the 2019/2020 season, the "Reds" have tied Manchester United with 20 titles, becoming the most successful teams in the history of the competition.

"Of course it's not just my job, it's also the job of the players who are here, members of the staff and the work that Jürgen Klopp and Pepijn Lijnders did here. The culture, the work ethic and the quality of the team were exceptional," Liverpool's Dutch manager Arne Slot said after the match against the "Spurs."

Goals from Colombian Luis Diaz (16th minute), Argentine Alexis Mac Allister (24th), Dutchman Cody Gakpo (34th), and Egypt's Mohamed Salah (34th) secured Liverpool's victory. Additionally, an own goal by Tottenham's Italian defender Destiny Udogie sealed the win, giving Liverpool the title in the final game.

English striker Dominic Solanke (12th minute) put "Spurs" ahead, though their celebration lasted just four minutes.

"I was ready to do everything for them, for all the fans around the world, for the fans who were here and for us. To win the Premier League twice in five years is a great achievement," said Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, captain of the "Reds."

Liverpool's unstoppable run

Since the start of the season, the "Reds" have proven to be the strongest team in the Premier League, facing minimal resistance from their rivals. With four games remaining, they boast a record of 25 wins, seven draws, and two defeats, having scored 80 goals and conceded 32.

With 82 points and a 15-point lead over their nearest challengers, Arsenal, Liverpool's season has concluded. The team will not participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held between June 15 and July 13 in the United States. English representatives in the competition will be Manchester City and Chelsea.
