With the Playoffs for the 2022/23 season completed, the Eastern and Western conference finals of the NBA are as follows: Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets. The four teams will go head-to-head in mid-May to move on to the finals for the coveted ring.

In the East, the Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 4-3. Jayson Tatum had a stellar performance and scored 51 points in the seventh game, beating Stephen Curry's record (50).

The victory confirmed Boston's status as a contender, as they advanced to the conference finals for the second consecutive year and for the third time in four years. With this momentum, they will have to face the Heat, like last year's final when they went into a seventh game, only to lose to the Warriors in the final.

"Bostom seemed like they were going to lose the series, but once they made it to the last game, the impressive thing was the way they won. They literally stomped on Philadelphia. Despite all the criticism, Tatum played like one of the best in the world. It was the best game of his life," said Santiago Sandri, basketball analyst and co-host of the Flashback Naranja sports podcast.

They will go head-to-head against Miami, which made it this far after beating the New York Knicks by 4-2. Jimmy Butler scored 41 points for his team and was a key player in the last game of the series.

On the other side of the country, the Denver Nuggets beat the Phoenix Suns (4-2), earning them a spot against the Lakers, who beat the former champions, the Warriors, by the same score.

For Juan Ignacio "Nacho" Diaz, a loyal NBA fan who makes no secret of his weakness for Denver's, "the Nuggets have a lot on their roster. Michael Porter Jr. can put up 30 points if he's having a good day, while Jamal Murray is one to watch with his layups and free throws."

"The problem the Lakers will have is Lebron James' age. It was difficult for him to get players off his back, particularly against Andrew Wiggins of the Warriors," he continued, analyzing the Western Conference finals, which he predicted will be a very even series.

The best-of-seven series will begin on Tuesday, May 16. The teams with the first four wins will advance to the finals, which will begin on June 1 and will last until June 18 at the latest. "Boston is the top contender of the four remaining teams," Sandri said.

If either the Celtics or the Lakers make it to the finals, they will surpass the other in championship titles. They are currently tied in NBA championships, both with 17. There could even be a "dream" final. The two could face each other to decide who will move ahead in the ranking.
