Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli visited President Donald Trump at the White House, where he starred in a brief musical moment in the Oval Office. The encounter was publicly broadcast by Margo Martin, special assistant to the president, who posted videos of the moment on the X platform.

Bocelli sings "Time to Say Goodbye" in the Oval Office

In one of the recordings shared by Martin, Bocelli is seen standing in front of the Resolute Desk, dressed in a black suit, tie and dark glasses, while an instrumental track begins to play. Trump, positioned behind the presidential desk, introduces the moment by saying, "Listen to this," before Bocelli begins singing to the rhythm of "Time to Say Goodbye." The tenor performs part of the piece and smiles briefly before continuing to the end of the video.

Another clip shows Trump and Bocelli conversing in front of the desk, listening together to a recording of a work by the Italian artist, in an informal setting inside the Oval Office.

Trump confirms Bocelli's appearance at the White House in December

Later, President Trump told reporters that Andrea Bocelli will return to the White House to perform on December 5, two days before the annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony.

The meeting took place hours before the meeting with Zelenski

The tenor's visit coincided with the day the White House was preparing to receive Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, who was traveling to Washington to hold a high-level meeting with Trump. So far, there is no official information linking the two events, nor has it been explained whether there was any relationship between the cultural visit and the diplomatic agenda of the day.
