Marquette Law School gives Biden worst-ever rating in nationwide polls
The president has fallen from 38% to 34% in the university firm's tracking with polls. Trump, on the other hand, rose to his best showing since March.
Polls from Marquette Law School gave Biden the worst approval ratings nationally this December. The president's rating thus continues to plummet, with 34% approval to 66% disapproval.
The Marquette data was taken from a sample of 1,000 citizens between Dec. 2 and 11. The rating is an low for the Democrat in this poll, since he took the White House in 2021.
Donald Trump's rating in the same poll rose to 53%, while his disapproval stands at 47%. This is a 3-point improvement since October, before the November election.
This is Trump's highest approval rating since March, when this retrospective approval question was first asked in Marquette's national poll.
The poll also assessed the approval ratings of nominees to be part of the future Trump administration after his inauguration. Marquette's data gives the nominees a failing grade, with 51% disapproval to 49% approval.
The choices of the candidates to fill the main positions in the administration had some ups and downs over the last few weeks. The most notable was the withdrawal of Matt Gaetz, cornered by an alleged sexual assault case.
Hunter's pardon, Biden's downfall
Only 29% of the sample surveyed approved of the decision to pardon Hunter Biden, while 71% disapproved.
