Stormy Daniels judge postpones Trump's sentencing until after the election
Juan Merchan set Nov. 26 as the new date.
The New York judge presiding over Donald Trump's trial for hidden payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels postponed sentencing until after the Nov. 5 presidential election.
The Republican White House candidate was scheduled to hear the sentencing on Sept. 18 after being found guilty of falsifying accounting records, but Judge Juan Merchan postponed it to Nov. 26.
The decision comes a week after Donald Trump's legal team began its attempts to get a federal court to intervene in the case.
