Nikki Haley hints she may run for election in 2024
"I've never lost an election and I'm not going to start now."
The former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations hinted during an annual Republican Jewish Coalition Leadership meeting in Las Vegas on Saturday that now that the midterm elections have passed, she would not rule out running in the 2024 election. "I'll look at it in a serious way and I'll have more to say soon," she said during the conference in Nevada.
Hayley went on to say that if she ran she would do everything she could to win. "When people underestimate me, it's always fun. But I've never lost an election. And I'm not gonna start now."
The former governor of South Carolina already lashed out at Biden's foreign policy, during his Middle East tour, saying that several mistakes had been made that could hinder the country's international relations. During the conference in Las Vegas, she again showed her opposition to the president's attempts to reinstate the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which Trump abandoned in 2018. "If Biden succeeds in getting back in the Iran deal, I will make you a promise. I've said it before. The next president will shred it on her first day in office" Haley added.
There have been several rumors about whether Haley would run in the 2024 election. She has also dodged questions about whether Trump should run for re-election to the White House. However, after 'disappointing' results for Republicans in the midterm elections, Trump announced his 2024 candidacy last week.
Although Trump continues to lose the support of many GOP members, other potential candidates including Haley, former President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are already being mentioned as possible challengers to former President Donald Trump.
