Twitter CEO Elon Musk weighed in on the idea of allowing minors to undergo gender transition procedures as suggested by Minnesota's Democratic Lieutenant Governor Penny Flanagan. The well-known billionaire responded to a video Flanagan recently posted via Twitter in which she claims that being a good parent involves listening to children and supporting them during their gender transition.

"When our children tell us who they are, it is our job as grownups to listen and to believe them. That’s what it means to be a good parent," the lieutenant governor said.

However, these words were not to the liking of Elon Musk who responded that children often go through identity crises before they finish forming their true personality. In addition, he pointed out that minors could be fed transgender "propaganda" that could lead children to question themselves even more about transgenderism.

"Not when they’re fed propaganda by adults. Moreover, every child goes through an identity crisis before their personality/identity crystallizes. Therefore, we shouldn’t allow severe, irreversible surgery or sterilizing drugs that they may regret until at least age 18," Musk posted in response.

It should be noted that the lieutenant governor's comments were made at a press conference regarding the executive order signed by Minnesota's Democratic Governor Tim Walz in support of gender affirming care. "As states across the country move to ban access to gender-affirming care, we want LGBTQ Minnesotans to know they will continue to be safe, protected, and welcome in Minnesota," Walz said in a statement.

In the meantime, there are more and more cases of people who had their puberty blocked and now regret it. One example is Chloe Cole who had her breasts removed when she was only 15 years old and today regrets it. "The adults who were supposed to take care of and guide me as a child failed to do so and they will take responsibility for it. My parents were sold a lie, just like I was," Cole told The Epoch Times.
