Elon Musk urges Italians to have more children to “save their culture” at an event organized by Giorgia Meloni

The magnate also questioned the "woke mind virus" and pointed out that AI is one of the main threats to humanity.

At a political festival organized by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's Fratelli d'Italia party, tycoon Elon Musk sent a clear message to Italians: have children.

Amid a significant birth crisis, the owner of Tesla and the social media platform "X" told Italian citizens that they must "make more Italians to save Italy's culture."

One of the particular objectives of Meloni's government is to combat the birth rate crisis.

In an interview earlier, Musk explained that the low birth rates in Italy were, in part, scaring away foreign investment and that promoting legal migration could be a good option to revitalize and boost the economy of the European country.

However, Musk pointed out that one of Italy's big problems is illegal immigration, with more than 153,000 people arriving in Italy by sea so far this year.

"If it's illegal immigration and there is no filter, how do you know who is coming in?" Musk asked, generating applause from the audience present.

The tycoon, who was Meloni's guest star for the political event, also criticized the "woke mind virus," which, he claimed, is infesting Italy little by little as it did with the United States.

Likewise, in another part of the conversation, Musk summarized what he believes are the main threats to humanity.

The owner of Tesla mentioned the birth crisis and the rise of artificial intelligence are among the main dangers to the human race.

"The birth rate is one of them, the other is nuclear war, then AI is an existential risk, we must be careful with the arrival of AI, but it is largely a double-edged sword, AI is the magical genie," Musk said. "The tale of magic genies usually doesn't turn out so well, so be careful what you wish for."

In that sense, Musk was in favor of AI having some government regulation and also mentioned that there is the possibility that artificial intelligence could become "a new species."
