VIDEO: Biden confuses Indian national anthem with U.S. anthem during Narendra Modi visit

Biden got confused again this Thursday in the middle of a public event. During the official reception of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House, President Biden confused the Indian national anthem with the U.S. anthem.

As the two leaders took the stage and the musicians began to play the first notes, Biden placed his right hand over his heart with a solemn gesture. Seconds later, when the president realizes that the musicians aren't playing “The Star Spangled Banner” but rather “Jana Gana Mana,” the national anthem of India.

Biden then begins to slyly lower his hand little by little to return to his initial posture, as the Indian anthem continues to play.

This confusion adds to the already long string of failures and missteps Biden has had throughout his tenure. For many, it is not a subject to joke about. After suffering a fall at an Air Force officer academy graduation event, GOP primary candidate Donald Trump reiterated his concern for the president's mental and physical state.

Many of Biden's opponents believe that the Democrat is not in the best condition to face a second term. If re-elected to the White House, Biden would reach the end of his second term at the age of 86.

This visit by Narendra Modi is the Indian Prime Minister's second visit to the United States in the last three years. The leaders and their teams are expected to discuss the Indian position in reference to the war in Ukraine, as well as other internal Indian issues.
