Soccer player Megan Rapinoe was injured during the final game of her career. Six minutes in, the soccer player had to be treated for discomfort and stated that she believes she tore her Achilles tendon.
Later, during a press conference, she maintained that his injury is proof, in her opinion, that God does not exist.
"I mean, I don’t deserve this, I’ll tell you that much. ... I’m not a religious person or anything, but if there was a God, this is proof that there isn’t," Rapinoe said in a statement to the media, in which she also pointed out who will receive the corresponding treatment.

Likewise, the 38-year-old player maintained that the National Women's Soccer League final between OL Reign and NJ/NY Gotham FC was really her last game, according to statements reported by the BBC.
"It was a tough one. It's definitely not how I envisioned this last one going," Rapinoe noted.
Ultimately, Gotham won the game 2-1, and Rapinoe closed her career with a loss. She scored 4 goals and registered 5 assists in 15 games in 2023.
