The Iranian Islamist regime wants to declare the war over, claiming that it is in "a position of strength and dignity" and asserting that the whole world recognizes "its victory" and "hates" the United States.

"It is better that we end the war now that we are in a position of strength and dignity," said Iran's president on Friday, Masoud Pezeshkian, at a meeting held on Friday, according to AFP.

"The whole world recognizes our victory and sees that the United States is hated across the globe and has attacked our schools, hospitals, and infrastructure, violating every rule," he added.

Pezeshkian also spoke about the memorandum signed by the United States and Iran, emphasizing that it is not a defeat for his country.

"They cannot find a single clause in this agreement that indicates a capitulation. All the commitments pertain to the other party," stated the head of the Islamist government.

These statements come at a time of extreme tension. President Donald Trump claimed that his enemy is in a state of disarray and defended his handling of the matter, both militarily and diplomatically.

"We're doing very well with Iran. The Navy is gone, the Air Force is gone, the leadership is gone. Part of the problem is that many of the leaders are gone. It's not easy to reach an agreement. Nobody knows who's in charge," Trump emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration, through Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, urged its allies and other countries such as China to join Washington, D.C.'s new campaign to isolate the Iranian economy and bring about the collapse of the Islamist regime.

"It's going to work in Iran and it's going to bring down the regime. It's going to be the largest coordinated economic isolation operation in world history," said Bessent, while warning countries that support Iran that it will mean their "economic demise."
