Macron’s wax statue stolen in Paris - another hit to his image
The French branch of Greenpeace used the sculpture valued at thousands of dollars to complain against the president’s “double discourse”: “He supports Ukraine but encourages French companies to continue trading with Russia.”

Statue of Macron at the Musée Grevin
Greenpeace activists stole the wax statue of French President Emmanuel Macron from the Grévin Museum in Paris this Monday. The theft comes exactly one week after viral images showed Macron being slapped in the face by his wife, Brigitte Macron.
Images shared by local reporter Charles Ducrocq show the statue placed in front of the Russian embassy, surrounded by a Russian flag and protest signs reading, “Ukraine burns, business continues.”
"Macron embodies this double discourse: he supports Ukraine but encourages French companies to continue trading with Russia," Greenpeace France director general Jean-Francois Julliard told AFP.
According to police sources, the thieves gained entry to the wax museum by posing as tourists. Once inside, they disguised themselves as employees and exited through an emergency exit, carrying the president’s statue hidden under a blanket.
The theft of the statue, valued at around $45,670, delivers a second blow to the French president’s image, as videos of the incident spread widely on social media and in the press.
