The international press entered several kibbutzim and was able to see the atrocities committed by terrorists against Israeli citizens. For example, i24NEWS correspondent Nicole Zedek broke down while reporting that Hamas murdered at least 40 babies in the Kfar Aza kibbutz, where dozens of people were killed in their homes.

"Talking to some of the soldiers here, they say what they witnessed as they’ve been walking through these communities is bodies of babies with their heads cut off and families gunned down in their beds," said Zedek with a wavering voice, clearly affected by the events.

"Correspondent Nicole Zedek reports from Kibbutz Kfar Aza, a quarter-mile from the Gaza border, and recounts the atrocities that were committed in the small community which remains an active scene as soldiers clear booby traps and recover the bodies of dozens of victims," detailed i24NEWS on X (formerly Twitter).

Similar was the testimony of Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst, who expressed that what the terrorists did is one of "the worst possible things that can be done to humans."

"Hamas did all that and more to Israeli civilians. Babies beheaded. People burned alive in their homes. Women raped and dragged through the streets. Don't look away," Yingst wrote on X.

Members of the press in these areas were accompanied by the Israel Defense Forces. "You see the babies, the mothers, the fathers, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms and how the terrorist kills them. It's not a war, it's not a battlefield. It's a massacre, it's a terror activity," said Israeli Major General Itai Veruv in statements reported by Reuters.

‘Hamas massacred people’

The media explained that the terrorists had been "killing hundreds of Israelis and taking dozens hostage in places like Kfar Aza, near Sderot. Some of the houses had been almost totally destroyed in the attack with collapsed, burned walls."

These are the latest atrocities known to have been committed by the Hamas terrorists. The official account of the State of Israel has been posting information obtained by the press and also highlighted that, in the Be'eri kibbutz, at least 10% of the population was massacred in their own home. "This is Kibbutz Be'eri, a community in southern Israel where about 1,000 people lived. On Saturday Hamas went house to house and massacred more than 100 people in this place, children, men and women. 10% of the community erased from the face of the earth in a single day," detailed the State of Israel on X (formerly Twitter).

Upon hearing the journalists' testimonies, there were reactions from around the world. Senator Katie Boyd Britt insisted that the barbarity of the terrorists must be met with a forceful response. "The U.S.—and the civilized world—must respond with unequivocal strength to these barbaric and monstrous atrocities. I stand with Israel as they rightfully defend themselves with overwhelming force," the Republican said.

According to the Israeli Embassy in the U.S., the number of Israeli fatalities early on Tuesday was close to 1,000 (998), with 3,418 injured. Hamas focused on attacking rural communities in the south of the country, killing and kidnapping civilians.
