Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged Sunday after being admitted to the hospital due to dehydration, a consequence of a heat wave. The 73-year-old was hospitalized Saturday at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, near his private residence on the Caesarea coast. He was under medical supervision overnight and underwent tests, which confirmed that he is in good health.

"Yesterday I spent some time with my wife on the Sea of Galilee, in the sun, no hat, no water. Not a good idea. So, first of all, I want to thank everyone for their concern and also the excellent teams here in Sheba who examined me," Netanyahu said in a video in Hebrew, which was posted on social media.

Netanyahu was also submitted to a subcutaneous holter, which showed a good cardiac health condition. It was reported that the weekly government meeting, which normally takes place on Sundays, was rescheduled to Monday. Finally, the prime minister took advantage of the situation to ask citizens to take care during the heat wave that the country is experiencing.

"Thank God I feel very well. But I only have one request: we are going through a heat wave in the country, so I ask you to take less sun and drink more water. May we all have a good week," he said.
