NBA Finals: Jokic and Murray make history and regain home-court advantage for Nuggets
The Nuggets beat Miami in the third game of the series with outstanding performances from the Canadian point guard and the Serbian center.
There was nothing the Miami Heat could do. The Denver Nuggets defeated Miami 109-94 at the Kaseya Center in Game 3 of the NBA Finals and regained the home-court advantage they lost in Game 2 of the series (2-1). The first quarter ended in a tie (24-24). It was from the second quarter on that Colorado began to distance themselves on the scoreboard without giving their rival a chance.
Like the rest of the playoffs, Nikola Jokic was the Nuggets' best player of the game. With a spectacular triple-double (32 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists), the Serbian center was unbeatable and completely dominated on the court. It is the tenth triple-double he has recorded in this year's playoffs.
Jamal Murray played his best game in the playoffs this season, finishing the game with a triple-double (34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists). The Nuggets' point guard and Jokic made history, becoming the first two teammates to both record a triple-double in an NBA Finals game in history. Aaron Gordon (11 points and 10 rebounds) and Christian Braun (15 points) were also outstanding.
The Heat's best player was Bam Adebayo, with a great double-double (22 points and 17 rebounds). Jimmy Butler, the leader of the Miami franchise, finished the game as the leading scorer of the roster (28 points). The next game will be played again at the Kaseya Center this Friday.
