A member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a drag group that mocks the Catholic Church, has been arrested in California for indecent exposure. According to a Humboldt County Sheriff's Office report, Clinton Monroe Ellis-Gilmore was arrested next to a park often full of families with children, where he was "sitting in his truck with the door open, masturbating."

Witness complaints

Deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene after several people reported the presence of a man "exposing himself in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle." In the statement, obtained by The Daily Wire, officers note that "according to numerous witnesses, Ellis-Gilmore had been at that location for approximately one hour, sitting in his truck with the door open, masturbating." The report notes that "The conduct does not appear to have been directed at anyone in particular."

Several witnesses said Ellis-Gilmore's behavior was that of someone who wanted to be seen. "It's obvious. You can't help but see this guy, he doesn't hide it. He wants everyone to see what he does," said Randy Fleek, who had parked near the vehicle.

Indecent exposure in California is punishable by up to six months in prison and $1,000

The charges brought against Ellis-Gilmore were for indecent exposure. Under the California penal code, this is a misdemeanor for the first offense, which is punishable by six months in prison, a $1,000 fine and an obligation to register as a sex offender.
