Biden administration gives $2 million to Soros-backed feminist organization to fight "toxic masculinity" in Puerto Rico

A feminist organization fighting "structural racism and toxic masculinities" in Puerto Rico received a $2 million grant from the Biden administration. Taller Salud obtained the money from the Department of Justice through a community-based violence prevention and intervention initiative, which funds a number of programs aimed at reducing violent crime.
The non-profit organization's stated goal is to combat violence experienced by Puerto Ricans and to promote feminism. Its work is based on offering workshops on racism and "equality." It is supported by other progressive organizations such as Planned Parenthood and billionaire George Soros' Open Society Foundations.
The funding, which covers 2022-2025, was approved to specifically promote a program called "Peace Accords." The intention is to help a minimum of 40 young men (ages 15-30) annually who have been surrounded by violence.
"Peace Accords uses highly trained violence interrupters and street outreach workers, public education campaigns - such as those addressing structural racism and toxic masculinities - behavioral and workforce services, and community mobilization to prevent and reduce violence," explained the organization in the program description posted on the Department of Justice website.
"We affirm restorative justice"
Taller Salud defines itself as a "community-based feminist organization dedicated to improving women's access to health care, to reducing violence within the community, and to encourage economic growth." "From an anti-racist political practice, we affirm restorative justice, racial equity and community reconciliation as essential elements of the emancipation of our people," the organization explains on its website.
