"A transaction requires more work to ensure that all necessary approvals are signed," the president assured.

President Donald Trump on Friday extended by 75 days the deadline for TikTok to find a non-Chinese buyer in order to avoid being banned in the country for national security reasons.
"The Deal requires more work to ensure all necessary approvals are signed, which is why I am signing an Executive Order to keep TikTok up and running for an additional 75 days," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
President Trump claimed last week that there are many companies interested in acquiring TikTok. He also asserted that he wants the app to continue to operate in the country.
"We have a lot of potential buyers, there's tremendous interest in Tiktok. I'd like to see Tiktok remain alive," Trump told reporters on Air Force One.
In that sense, there are several bidders who are in the race to buy the digital platform. Among the buyers, for example, is a group led by billionaire Frank McCourt, former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and famed "Shark Tank" investor Kevin O'Leary.
In addition, CNN explained, there is another interested group that includes social media influencer Jimmy Donaldson (aka MrBeast) and Employer.com founder Jesse Tinsley; and artificial intelligence company Perplexity.
Amazon also made a bid
Amazon also launched a bid against the clock this week to acquire TikTok, as revealed by The New York Times.
