The White House apologized after publishing a photograph in which it showed the faces of members of the Delta Force special forces. The photograph was taken during a meeting with President Joe Biden in Israel.

"As soon as this was brought to our attention, we immediately deleted the photo. We regret the error and any issues this may have caused," a White House spokesperson said during a press conference reported by Fox News journalist Bill Melugin.

The caption of the photo, which was later posted by social media users, read: "In Israel, the president met with first responders to thank them for their bravery and the work they're doing in response to Hamas terrorist attacks."

Several citizens explained that the photo was available for at least an hour and garnered thousands of interactions and views before being removed from social media by the White House. When publishing these types of photos, the faces of the special forces members are generally blurred to avoid putting them at risk.
