More than 200,000 undocumented migrants have arrived in the U.S. without even crossing the border
According to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, the Biden Administration allows these people to fly "directly to airports in the interior of the United States."
Since Joe Biden became president, the number of undocumented immigrants entering the United States has skyrocketed. For example, according to official statistics, in 2022 a record number of encounters with immigrants who tried to illegally cross the southern border was reached. However, according to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, there is another way to enter the country, facilitated by the federal government.
According to Todd Bensman, senior national security investigator for the Center for Immigration Studies, “more than 200,000 people from four countries” used a state direct flight program to enter the United States “illegally.” Specifically, there are about 221,456 undocumented foreigners who flew from Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua.
According to the report, "a little-known part of the Biden administration's CBP One parole program permits inadmissible aliens to make an appointment to fly directly to airports in the interior of the United States, bypassing the border altogether. Partial data on the program, just obtained by the Center for immigration Studies pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request, reveals that more than 200,000 people from four countries have used this direct-flight and parole program over the past year".
Joe Biden's government began implementing the program to reduce the number of encounters at the southern border, so it added another way to process entry, this time from within. According to the Administration, the initiative plans to solve the "unpleasant waves of immigrants such as the southern border by using the online interface to manage mass releases of inadmissible aliens who would otherwise cross illegally."
"Historic massive migration crisis"
The report highlighted that the "mysterious program" works through the CBP One application, which allows immigrants to take commercial flights from countries south of Mexico. You can apply for "advance travel authorizations" and fly "at your own expense" to an airport of your choice. Once inside, "U.S. Customs officers parole them into the nation, sight unseen, and in numbers publicly unknown."
After making the appointment, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) allows disembarkation at the chosen airports, where they are "quickly granted" parole, allowing them to travel to a city of their choice in the interior of the nation.
"To best understand the totality of the historic mass migration crisis now finishing its third year, the U.S. public would need to see not only the numbers crossing illegally between ports of entry, but also the ones being run through the administration’s new “legal pathways”, which the administration has heavily advertised to the U.S. public and migrants as being managed to various degrees using CBP One system interfaces," the Center for Immigration Studies report concluded.
