Eric Adams blasts Biden's immigration policy: "We need to control the border"
Hundreds of immigrants are sleeping on the streets as New York shelters are full. The city's new regulation allows shelters to kick out those who have been staying the longest.
The mayor of New York called on the Biden administration to "control the border" and declare a state of emergency to tackle the immigrant crisis that the country, especially New York City is currently facing. Shelters have been at capacity since last week. Since then, hundreds of migrants have been sleeping on the streets.

During a press conference Adams reiterated that he has been calling on the federal administration to provide the city with the funds it needs to deal with the wave of immigrants arriving to the city. He also criticized Joe Biden and Secretary if the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas’ immigrations policy. He called on them to get the situation at the border under control:
Increase in crime and incidents
New Yorkers are suffering the consequences. In addition to the increase in crime and incidents involving illegal immigrants, for the past few days hundreds of immigrants have been crowding the streets in front of makeshift shelters.
