George Santos lies again by falsely stating that he was sworn into office
The statement has already been removed from Santos' website but adds to the countless lies told by the congressman.
Congressman George Santos' office issued a press release falsely claiming that he was sworn in on Tuesday. The note was published on the official website of the Chamber of Santos and has already been withdrawn. It now reads “You are not authorized to access this page.”
The congressman already lied about significant parts of his past during his election campaign, and now, he claims to have been sworn in by the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, January 3.
Although it is no longer posted on the Santos website, a screenshot has been disseminated by those who caught a glimpse of it. And it reads as follows:
Santos was unable to take the oath of office on Tuesday, the first day of the 118th Congress, due to the House's inability to elect a representative . Olivia Beavers of Politico reported that the House Chief Administrative Officer issued the statement “without some offices knowing about it.”
