Trump on his indictment: "Reminiscent of Nazi Germany"

Trump reiterated his innocence and accused "corrupt Joe Biden" of weaponizing the DOJ to remove him from the election and cover up the Hunter Biden scandal.

Donald Trump stressed that the new indictment against him is "reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, the former Soviet Union and other authoritarian and dictatorial regimes." The former president directly accused Joe Biden of being behind the allegations trying to remove him from the presidential race by using the "weaponized Justice Department" to interfere in the election. In addition, the mogul threw out the question of "why was it announced the day after the big Crooked Joe Biden scandal broke out from the Halls of Congress?"

In a statement, the campaign team of the current favorite to represent the Republican Party in the next presidential election insisted on Trump's innocence, as well as on the the Biden administration’s use of federal institutions to eliminate his biggest rival for the White House in 2024.

This is nothing more than the latest corrupt chapter in the continued pathetic attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their weaponized Department of Justice to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election, in which President Trump is the undisputed frontrunner, and leading by substantial margins.

Likewise, Trump again accused the president of choosing the moment to charge him to "interfere" in the presidential elections, instead of having carried out the investigations two and a half years ago, when the events happened, or even a little later, when Biden took office. Trump asserted that this was "reminiscent of Nazi Germany" and other dictatorial regimes:

The answer is, election interference! The lawlessness of these persecutions of President Trump and his supporters is reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, the former Soviet Union, and other authoritarian, dictatorial regimes. President Trump has always followed the law and the Constitution, with advice from many highly accomplished attorneys.

Trump indicated that he will end this situation when he returns to power in 2024.

These un-American witch hunts will fail and President Trump will be re-elected to the White House so he can save our Country from the abuse, incompetence, and corruption that is running through the veins of our Country at levels never seen before. Three years ago we had strong borders, energy independence, no inflation, and a great economy. Today, we are a nation in decline. President Trump will not be deterred by disgraceful and unprecedented political targeting!

The reaction from Republican candidates

Trump’s rivals in the Republican primary are divided. While Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy point to the Biden administration's persecution and weaponization of insititutions, Mike Pence, Chris Christie and Asa Hutchinson charged against the former president on social media.
