In an interview on the YouTube channel Vlad TV, actor and comedian Faizon Love stated that the reparations money California plans to give black residents will be wasted on luxury cars. "Fuck that. That’s another trick man, you know why? Because that money’s gonna go right back to Cadillac and right back to motherfucking [Mercedes] Benz," he said.
Love believes that instead receiving money for reparations, the black population should be exempt from paying taxes and recalled that taxes were used as a means to finance the Civil War.
