The event, "Protecting Women's Sports," is scheduled for Nov. 3. The events website claims the event would "discriminate against" individuals based on their gender identity. .

Former swimmer Riley Gaines reported that Eventbrite took down an event she is organizing from its platform. The event, called "Protecting Women's Sports with Riley Gaines," aims to defend of women in sports.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 3 and, according to Gaines, Eventbrite considers it to be discriminatory. "Being a woman and advocating for such isn't a hate crime," Gaines wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Eventbrite's decision was also criticized by figures such as Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. He maintained that "Americans need to stop giving money to woke corporations" that censor citizens for their beliefs. In fact, he asserted that the platform allows pro-Hamas rallies without any type of restriction.

It is the second event of its kind to be taken down from Evenbrite in a month. At the beginning of October, the site removed an event that warned about the dangers of transgender treatments and surgeries for minors, featuring activist Chloe Cole. The activity was organized by the Palmetto Family Council.

"Today, Palmetto Family was notified that our event page for Stop The Insanity- with [Chloe Cole] was removed from the Eventbrite platform. This event, which [sic.] is still set to take place on November 6th at 7pm in Spartanburg SC," Palmetto Family Council wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
