US kills two ISIS members in Syria in an air strike
Central Command reported that the same military operation wounded another terrorist and destroyed a truck carrying weaponry.
Days after eliminating Abu Yusif, the United States confirmed that it killed two members of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group and wounded another through an airstrike executed in the Deir ez-Zor province, located in eastern Syria.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that during the operation, U.S. soldiers also destroyed "a truckload of weapons."
"On Dec. 23, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted a precision airstrike in the Dayr az Zawr Province, Syria, killing two ISIS operatives and wounding one. The terrorists were moving a truckload of weapons which were destroyed during the strike," CENTCOM wrote on social media.
Deir ez-Zor is an area that was controlled by the Russians and the regime of Bashar al-Assad until its fall on Dec. 8.
Separate from this move, CENTCOM confirmed that soldiers aboard the USS Harry S. Truman are prepared to neutralize Houthi positions in Yemen.
