Curry, Lillard and McClung shine in NBA All-Star Dunk and 3-Point Contests
There was plenty of entertainment and fun on the eve of the game between the best players of the Eastern and Western Conferences.

Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard won the NBA All-Star 3-Point Challenge and 3-Point Contest, respectively. These were two separate competitions, one of them new to this edition. The Milwaukee Bucks player won his second consecutive crown from beyond the three-point line, while the Golden State Warriors star defeated WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu in the duel between the best male and female shooters on the planet. In addition, Mac McClung took home victory in the Dunk Contest.
Two 3-point champions
Lillard and Curry won in dominant fashion in their respective contests, making it clear that they have the game's best jumpers. Lillard is the first player to win two consecutive crowns since Jason Kapono in 2007 and 2008. He did it with suspense, needing the last shot to surpass Trae Young's 24.
Ionescu was a more than worthy rival for Curry, with a spectacular start, although she missed shots as the round progressed. Although she was initially going to shoot from the WNBA 3-point line (22 feet, 1.75 inches), the New York Liberty player elected to shoot from NBA line (23 feet, nine inches), and scored 26 points. Curry scored 29, taking home the win.
Dunk Contest
Mac McClung silenced the stadium, leaving Giannis Antetokounmpo himself with his mouth agape after a colossal dunk that assured him the victory in the eyes of the judges. The young point guard, standing just 6-foot-2, threw down a two-hand reverse dunk after jumping over Shaquille O'Neal.
