From the start of the match, Alcaraz showed everyone that he was at the top of his game. In the second match of the first set came the first break of the Spanish tennis player to his rival. The first set ended 6-3.

The second set was more of the same. Medvedev lost his first two games on serve and Alcaraz was leading 4-0. Despite a slight resistance from the Russian player, Alcaraz did not give up and closed the match in the second match point he had.

With this title, Alcaraz, who will be 20 years old in less than two months, takes back the number one ATP ranking, which he lost 50 days ago to Novak Djokovic.

Rybakina wins the women's final

Elena Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka in two sets (7-6, 6-4) in the final of the WTA 1000 Indian Wells. The Kazakhstani tennis player beat her opponent in just over two hours of play.

Rybakina came back from being down 4-2 in the first set, which ended in a tie breaker. In the second set, she managed to take the lead over Sabalenka, which was decisive for the final result of the match.

With her victory, Rybakina puts an end to a bad streak against Sabalenka, who had defeated her in the previous four matches they played.
