Kyle Rittenhouse publishes his book 'Acquitted'
The young man claims that he wants to tell people his version of the events that led him to face a criminal trial in 2020.
Kyle Rittenhouse published his book titled 'Acquitted,' which started shipping on December 15. Rittenhouse's intention is to tell people his version of the events that led him to face a criminal trial in 2020. The young man was found not guilty after killing two people while defending himself against Black Lives Matter protesters in Wisconsin.
"Two years ago today, accused of unjust charges, I heard 'NOT GUILTY' five times over from a jury of my peers who heard the facts. My case split the nation into opposing sides fueled by emotions, politics, and misconceptions driven by media and political figures," Rittenhouse wrote in a message posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Rittenhouse calls his story one of survival, resilience and justice. "Today, I want you to learn the truth, and know the real and honest version of my story - without filters or an agenda. My story of survival, resilience, and justice is now available for pre-order," said Rittenhouse.
An interview with Mark Richards, one of Rittenhouse's lawyers, has since made headlines. Richard claims that his client does not have as much money as many people think. Richards said that Rittenhouse works to support himself and that he would like to see him go back to school.
"He is working, he is trying to support himself. Everybody thinks that Kyle got so much money from this. Whatever money he did get is gone," Richards said in a conversation with Court TV.
