Francesc Picas, one of the members of Locomía, dies
His family asked for privacy to face the moment. They did not offer details about the singer's cause of death.
Francesc Picas, a member of Locomía, has died at the age of 53 in Barcelona. The information was announced by his family through a statement published on his Instagram account. However, the cause of death was not detailed.
"Francesc's light has gone out in this life, but it will never do so in eternity. He remains in the hearts and memories of all those who have loved him so much," the family wrote.
Likewise, his loved ones asked for privacy. "The family and friends, in this very painful situation, ask for privacy and that his human and artistic legacy be preserved with all the love and respect that he deserves. Thank you for your understanding and support," the statement detailed.
The family closed the statement with a quote from Francesc: "If we are light, everything is possible. And if we are light, we are all one."
" I think everything has already been experienced intensely," said Francesc Picas.
In September, Picas offered an interview to Infobae to promote his return to the stage with a series of solo concerts. At that time, he assured that his time in Locomía was happy, although he highlighted that starting his career after being part of the group was something that took him at least 30 years.
"It has also been an anchor that has kept me in a very certain place and it has been a continuous struggle. Anything was to compare it to that. And until we find an alternative, well it's been 30 years," said the singer.
Picas entered Locomía when he was 17 years old. He acknowledged that the group was something that taught him many lessons. Furthermore, he said, he was satisfied with his life: "I don't feel like I've lost anything. I think everything has already been experienced intensely. I don't know, I don't have the feeling that I want anything back. I want to say: I feel satisfied with what I have experienced, with the ups, the downs, the depressions, the lights. I wouldn't put anything. I would give it to whoever needs to recover more things."
